Publications & Research
Research lies at the centre of GFCSI's institutional identity. We produce independent, policy-oriented analysis that informs decision-making, strengthens institutional learning, and supports evidence-based public policy across climate, nature, biodiversity, and sustainable finance.
Knowledge Leadership
Building Africa's Institutional Knowledge Foundation
GFCSI's research agenda is designed not only to generate knowledge, but to address practical policy and implementation challenges faced by governments and development partners. By combining analytical rigour with practical application, the Institute develops research products that contribute directly to policy reform, investment planning, institutional strengthening, and programme design.
Beyond research production, GFCSI works to strengthen national knowledge systems through improved data, analytical tools, collaborative research networks, and long-term institutional learning. The Institute seeks to cultivate an African community of practice capable of generating high-quality research that informs national and regional green transition agendas.
